I just got a '95 Camry and replaced the rear speakers but found out that I installed the new ones wrong. I replaced them through the trunk as the previous ones were installed. However, I found out from a professional installer that they should be installed through the top/passenger compartment. However, I just can't seem to get that far. I need help getting the side panels of the back seat taken off and whatever I need to do after that.

Thanks

If you have bottom mount speakers, you installed them correctally, and most 6x9's are bottom mount. There should be no need for this unless they happen to be top mount.

You can install them from the bottom, which is the way they are correctly. However, a professional installer told me that they are properly installed from the top.

I've got the crutchfield instructions on how to install the rear deck speakers for my 96 Camry. It should be the same as your 95. I can fax them to you on Monday if you'd like. Or I can try scanning them and e-mailing 'em to you. Let me know. Canecreekfreak@.... According to the directions, they are supposed to be top-mounted. But if bottom mount works, then why not just leave 'em? :-)
