Hello guys, I am shopping around for a 4 Cylinder Camry XLE with leather interior. The prices I've been able to talk it down to ranges to the high 24,000's . The best price being 24,450 with the freight charge waived. The problem with that is that they do not have it in their lot yet. I have a few questions about this.

1) Is this a good price??

2) What problems might present since they dont have the car in their lot yet?

2b) Could they sell it to me and have me waiting a long time to get it?

3) Anything else I should look out for?

1.) I'm not sure what exact invoice pricing is on the 4cyl is but if memory serves me right you're right in that range so definitely a good price. Look a bit on the net and you can find invoice price.

2.) They may get the wrong vehicle but that rarely happens. Just make sure to look over the vehicle before you accept it. Also when they go get it they may just have someone go drive it back so it will accumulate miles on it. It doesn't effect warranty periods or anything but just something to consider if you're super anal about that stuff.

2b.) Generally dealers want to get the car to you as soon as possible so they can close the dealer. I know in WI, if you don't take receipt of the vehicle within three days then you have the right to cancel the contract, so it's in their best interest to get it to you ASAP. If you decided you wanted a "special order" model (i.e. a vehicle with options not within a normal package) then you may be waiting awhile as Toyota may choose to build it or not, more likely not.

3.) If you're at invoice pricing, quit nickel and diming the salesman. he's gotta eat also. I'd avoid buying any of the extra "add-ons" that they may offer, i.e. extended warranty, GAP insurance, scotch gaurd interior, etc.
