Hi fellow camry owners, I need your help!! My 97 4cyl camry has a very low idle when i start my car every time the engine is cold. Once i start it, it will start for a few seconds and If i dont press on the gas pedal the idle will drop to zero and the engine will cut off. I was told by the local dealership that it was the "idle speed control valve" malfunction and that it will cost $500 to fix. OH YEAH, I HAVE TAKEN IT IN TWO PREVIOUS TIMES WITHIN THE PAST TWO YEARS for the exact same problem. This time they wont honor my warrarnty for the part because the warranty ended about 2 weeks ago. I was told by a mechanic that i can clean the "throttle body".... any suggestions?? I would really appreciate it.
