Anyone Change Ball Joints On Gen 4 Camry?

About to change the ball joints tomorrow due to play. Was wondering if anyone had changed only their ball joints and what was the easy way to do this. I read a couple of ways to do it, but the easiest seems to be just take off the 2 nuts and bolt from the ball joint and then use a pickel fork to get it out from the spindle. Or taking off the lower control arm then using the pickel fork to get the ball joint out.

The other way is more intensive where the repair manual or other people say to take out the spindle which of course requires more work and time.

Any ideas or reccomendations?
