In order to gain true HP is to add a turbocharger or supercharger. Currently, there is no kit made for the Camry . Although they are now intakes now being made for the Camry such as the Fujita CAI, the difference will be minimal and will probably add a placebo effect to your driving experience.

I think you would gain some power from changing your air intake to K&N Typhoon Intake Systems
$105.92 - $342.49 Rousch Volant or you look around instant power boost with no machine work. A spark tweek may be able to give you a couple of HP a chip and colder or hotter plugs. I would think that a K&N with more air would lean the engine so maybe a colder plug would work better. What size tires are you running on the car? Tire size equates to power on the road I do not have a formula for that but maybe you could go to the www.scca.com or www.nasaproracing.com I have found allot of great info from both and they know power. The K&N can be changed back to stock just keep all the parts and put it back if you are going ton the dealer. Never tell them you did anything they would never tell you get my drift. How could you lie to a dealer who jacked your figures around to suit the stealership when you bought the car.

Trade it for a V6 lol, seriously though, like the others are saying, only thing you can do for now is intake and exhaust, but your not going to get much besides sounding faster.

SUGGESTION, HOW ABOUT A BORLA OR MAGNAFLOW EXHAUST AND K/N CAI. I HAVE A V6 AND HAVE BOTH. THE CAR IS ALREADY QUICK,BUT NOW WITH THE NEW ACCESSORIES IT LOOKS AS GOOD AS IT SOUNDS. I HAVE SEEN V4'S WITH THESE MODS AND I HAVE TALKED TO THE OWNERS, WHEN I CAN CATCH THEM AND THEY ARE HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS....

We'll see if the K&N is a s good as advertised. I've ordered one through an EBay merchant, Aftermarketshoppe, http://cgi.ebay[url="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/K-N-Cold-Air-Intake-2007-2009-TOYOTA-CAMRY-2-4L-/150601510582?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AToyota|Model%3ACamry|Year%3A2007&hash=item23108caeb6"]
who was the least expensive. They messaged me that this was the product as shown at K&N's website as the model for the 2.4 '07 car. K&N claims a 14.9HP gain!!! I wish I could get a 14.9HP gain on my track car for $239!!-Really Cheap Horsepower, if this is accurate.

Like I said at the start, I'll watch and report

Got the K&N in today. Very fast shipping. Appears to be exactly as advertised and complete, new in box. So far, I would recommend this company, Aftermarketshoppe on ebay, for promptness(two days!),price($239), and product(as advertised).

As soon as I can get it installed(its the wife's DD) I'll test the performance and report back on that.

Well, I installed the new intake last week, and I am very satisfied.

The installation was about an hour and a half to two hours; I wasn't paying that much attention. As with most things I've installed in cars or houses, quality shows in the fit and finish of the installation. You're not just paying for material, but for all the research and design necessary to make something work well. The instructions are almost TOO detailed, almost to the point of confusion. However, more detail is always better than less. I do wish they would specify which fastener they want where, as opposed to what they did, which was to say 'using supplied fastener...' which occasionally caused confusion. All in all, a satisfactory install package.

The claimed 14.5 HP gained seems in evidence at anything over 1/4 open throttle, in support of the dyno chart included in the package. As you might expect, the change was most noticeable at WOT, but the general throttle response was improved so much as to almost negate the negatives (is that a double negative?) of the drive by wire system. I was most impressed and find the purchase well worth the retail price. Having gotten it at a substantial discount, it looks even better. A couple of WOT runs made me happier than keeping the $239 ever would have.
