Battery Getting Drained; Alternator And Battery Ok!

Am trying to avoid an $85 diagnostic! Strauss Auto (God bless 'em) checked both battery and alternator; they guess it is an electrical problem. My boyfriend thinks it could be the coil.

What do you think?
Are there any tests I can do WITHOUT a machine hooked to the car?
After all, this is a simpler, older car. I am hoping.....

you have a ghost leech which means something is either grounded wrong or something that isnt suppose to be on is which is draining ur battery also check to c if your engine belt is loose if it is it might not turn the alt enough to recharge your battery while you drive
