Hi,
I am in Brooklyn, New York. Has anyone ever had a problem with the service department at Bay Ridge Toyota in Brooklyn. I had some service done last week and while they had it, I asked them to align the wheels. After like 7 hours the service maganager asked me to look at the car. He asked if it pulled to the passenger side when I drove. I told him just a little. When I drove I would have to tug the wheel to 11 o'clock once and a while. I was told that they had a hard time aligning the wheels since they had to load a different "spec" on the machine due to my 17" Tantrums and Falkens. I never heard of that. BUT>>>>the real problem was that I may have a bent strut or some other bent object in my suspension. They didnt know what the problem was so I would have to bring it back and they would have to take eveything apart to check and give me a better idea. I was told my wheel could potential fly off at the joint. I took the car out and the alignment sucked!!!! I had to hold the wheel at 3 o'clock just to keep control of the car. Does this all sound funny???? Yesterday, I took my car to another shop and didnt mention that I had an alignment. He put the car up and checked everything out and aligned the front wheels perfectly. The only thing that I did notice was that the drives side wheel was totally out of alignment. He noticed the the car was messed with recently but told me nothing looked bent. All looked good. Any opinions????
