05 XLE with 70k miles. owned since new. replaced front brake pads at 50k miles with lifetime pads from auto zone. Replaced tires at 61k. recently has developed a vibration under braking. the heavier the braking, the worse the vibration. feels like the anti-lock is activated. no other vibration except under braking. does produce some handling instability. getting ready to take it into the shop. wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue and what the problem was.

Front brake rotors are warped and cause the car to shake under braking. A lot of the time you can't turn them out once they get that way and just need replacing.

Yea, have that same problem of vibration under braking. It use to vibrate when I got up to 80+, now I have to do 100+ to feel the vibration. I use to think it was a balance issue, but, research says its the rotors a warped also. I got new rotors, just haven't had time to change them yet. When I get the new rotors on, I'll let you know if it solved the problem |
