Hi all,
I just got a 93 camary le v6, it ran great for a few days, then it over heated, then died. when it cooled down it started, but it had a rough idle, so i looked in the intake, and it was full of oil, so used some carb cleaner on the MAF, and in the TB, it ran for a while then it died, and now it only cranks, but will not start. Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

My own personal opinion is that I wouldn't even TRY to start it if it recently overheated until checking to make sure nothing was damaged like head gasket, head, block, or anything else. I'd hate to see you do further damage to your V-6. Once you fully determine there was no major damage to anything else, then you might try to start it. I don't really know what else to tell you about why it won't start. I just think it's not a good thing to cause further damage or overheating. Good luck! |
