Re: 2007 Camry LE
When I have cruise on and I am on a relatively flat road (ie no upward or downward hills), the cruise stays at target/set speed. When I have cruise on and I am going up a hill the engine revs way up and the speed goes significantly beyond the target/set speed and stays higher than target for significant time before it falls back to target/set speed. I thought cruise was supposed to keep it at target/set speed no matter what the conditions? Is the above normal? Thanks |

Thats normal. Since you're going uphill in cruise control, youll notice loss in speed. After that happens, The car thinks it needs to go back to set speed accelerating for more power to climb. Then when back to flat ground, it goes back to normal set speed.

No that is not normal. The cruise control should keep the target speed on most terain with only minor deviations.
