Does anyone know if a 96 Camry (4 dr) engine bay can accomodate an engine from a Supra (say a 98). Is this swap a possibility? If not, I have the 4 cyl engine and would like to know what mods and how much horsepower can I get it to generate without killing the engine?

I don't know about the Supra engine but someone just announced in the Camryman forum that he installed a 3sgte from an MR2 in his Gen 3 Camry. Pics are at
http://www.interpoint.net/~hmgarcia/willie/

Sounds interesting, but with the weight of the Camry, is it going to be a significant mod? The MR2 is quite small, therefore...little power is needed to make it go. That's why I want to see if I can get a Supra engine in there. The power to weight ratio would be a nice lil surprise for any unsuspecting folks that might wanna test me out! LOL I figure that since the Camry had a V6 of it's own...

I believe that it also has a turbo from a celica with 9lbs boost or something. The upgrade from the stock Camry is significant, but not Supra significant.

That's pretty decent, but if I'm gonna make a change...I wanna make it significant. I want folks to see "just a Camry"...that is until they are looking at my tail lights! LOL I want to upgrade the Camry engine for now, but I really don't think it can handle it. It's 4 years old with 150k miles on it.
