First-time poster. Wish it was under better circumstances. I have a hesitation problem with my 1999 Toyota Camry, which has 150k miles. The engine hesitates on acceleration, usually at about 35-45 mph, in all conditions. My mechanic replaced the spark plugs and changed the fuel filter, but the problem remained, and in fact got quite a bit worse, to the point that it was dangerous. Recently, he replaced the EGR valve, and that has helped. But the problem is still there. Tomorrow, I`ll try a fuel-injector cleaner, but I don`t have a lot of hope for that. Do you have any suggestions?
Many thanks. Tom in Maine |

This valve is operated by a solenoid that recieves signals from the engine computer that tell it when to open and close when the solenoid goes bad the engine will hesitate on acceleration and can have a rolling idle, and sometimes if its too bad it will not run at all. |
