Hi, I'm usually over with Camryman's forum most of the time, and some may
recognize my id.<br><br>Does anyone else who owns a 87-91 Camry have some
trouble with water leaking into their trunk?

Daughter has a '90 Camry that I take care
of.Yes,it gets water in the trunk during rains.The rubber
seals look normal all around,so I'm puzzled.Been
thinking of punching a 1/4 inch sized hole in the rubber
grommet at the very bottom of the trunk space to allow
water to escape.Or get my smaller grandson to be in the
closed trunk while I shine a light all around the seal
to find any opening.Does any of this make sense???

So far I apply silicone to all the rubber seals, still leaks, it's somewhere in
the undercoating (probably).<br><br>tan

your latter suggestions is great. but it is more
likely to be the edge of the pivot of the trunk and car.
metals to shrink and expand and as time goes by, they no
longer is a perfect fit. if you don't mind water in it
for a sec, mix water with food coloring and that will
leave a trace.<br><br>steve
