P,R,N,D,2,1 display lights in dash help |

Hi I was wondering if anyoone knew how to get the
display lights in the dash for the P,R,N,D,2,1 for a 94
camry to show again in the dash?? i heard that its a
senser in the shifter and when it gets dirty the lights
dont show.. only my neutral and reverse lights show up
but nothing else... can anyone help?
