Congratulations for both on your new cars! I think it is pretty cool to have that feature... But being all automatic, wouldn't it get back to normal once you have done the required maintenance? If a cmputer is the one that is telling you, then the computer should be able to read it too and find out that the job was done. Maybe you haven't done everything required by the computer? Check the owner's manual to find out... But I am no expert on this! This is just my logical thinking that of course could be wrong!

On the 2007 Camrys. To reset the Maint. light you must first make sure that the odometer is on Trip A. After that turn the key off, hold down the odometer button and turn the key to the ON position while holding the button. Dashes will come up on the odometer display and start to dissappear like a count down. After they dissappear, all zeros will appear and now the light is reset.

On the 2007 Camrys w/ Smart key. Put the odometer on Trip A. Turn the car off, hold down the odometer button and without putting your foot on the brake, push the start button twice while holding down the odometer button and watch the display. It will speak for itself.

Let me know how you guys make out.

Thank you vwtoy01. Great success. Thanks for the information. My wife was tired of seeing that alert for the last 10,000 miles.

berlinlife06, You would think it would automatically reset after you did the oil change, but that is not the case. It's easy to reset once you know how to do it. Thanks for the replies everyone.

Good to know that the computer can't actualy do everything by itself! This is a tip I think I'll pass on the next time I hear about a problem like that... you have no idea how people, specially men, react when a woman tells them what they can do with their car... is as if the dog spoke english all of a sudden!
Of course I am learning here, and all this tidbits I plan to use them when necessary, and I will not give credit to any of you! LOL! Thank you vwtoy01 for your clarification!

I vote for vwtoy01 to write the next user's manual. Your instructions read far more clearly and accurately than the manual.

Toyota recommends services every 5000 miles, that's oil change and tire rotation. 30000 and 60000 miles are the big ones. They do all the fluids and rotate again. Filters are also changed. By the way, that pesky little light comes on every 5000 miles and will start to blink if you let it go too long. The computer has no idea about the condition of the oil or how many months it has been. Hope that clears up any questions.
