being bored at work...i looked up the specs on both cars and found the specs to be in my cars favor yet the Solara is sold as the sportier of the two...<br><br>SOLARA SE V6 5 speed - 200 hp @ 5,200 rpm 214 lb-ft torque @ 4,400 rpm weight 3,230<br>CAMRY LE V6 5 speed - 194 hp @ 5,200 rpm 209 lb-ft torque @ 4,400 rpm weight 3,175<br><br>i raced an auto solara and took him...so i was thinking that maybe Toyota underplayed the horsepower rating of the Camry so people would think the Solara was more sporty or something...arent both engines exactly the same? maybe there is a difference in the exhaust somewhere that gives the Solara the higher horsepower and torque rating but i highly doubt it...has anyone ever raced a 97-up AUTOMATIC V6 Camry vs. a AUTOMATIC V6 Solara?
