Greetings folks! I'm looking into buying a car, and came across an auction. I'm really not sure about this method of buying. Can any of you folks share any car auction experiences? Whether good or bad, I'd like to hear/read from you.
Another thing, I've noticed some vehicles have rebuilt/salvage titles, is there any big deal buying one of those? What do you folks think of it? |

Be careful....be very, very, careful......most cars sold at auction are sold as is, no warranty, no nothing. And those rebuilt or salvage titles vehicles are trouble just waiting to happen. Most are cars from flood zones...they can detail them and make them look great but where the trouble starts is in the electronics. Unless you are an experienced Toyota mechanic, have lots of tools and lots of time, stay away from auction cars, especially the rebuilt/salvage ones. |
