About a month ago, one of the members posted a message about having ordered white instrument guages. Any news on that, whomever you are? I am looking into the same. Nopi carries Indoxone ones for my Gen 3. Anyone else has this?

Jeff,

I'm about to order some gauges for my '93 V6 XLE but they're not white and not from NOPI. They're from a company on San Diego called MMR(www.MMRUSA.com)and they're going to be yellow w/blue numbers.

They only charge $95 and $125 for custom jobs. Anyone interested should give them a look, it may be worth it.

SC

Perhaps that was me. Well, after six weeks of waiting, I did get the custom gauges that I had ordered. However, it was not for my Gen 4 Camry. It was for the Gen 3's. I also did not get my originals back. Needless to say, I was a bit annoyed, but did call MMR back and told them about the situation. They were very courteous and said that I should get my custom and original gauges back. Well, I will just have to wait and see whether I will ever get them.

Uiliak,

Sorry to hear about the mistake they made. Perhaps you can help me out. Do you remeber what the Gen 3 gauges look like? Are they overlays or replacements? How many pieces were there?

Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks. Hopefully, I will get my correct and original sets from them. Yes, I do remember, actually, I took a few digital pictures of it, but haven't had time to upload them yet. They are 5-piece replacements: tachometer, speedometer, fuel, temperature, and gear gauges. I overlaid them over a '93 cluster and they do fit. Construction is so-so, doesn't really compare with my factory from Nippon Denso, but it doesn't matter much. The originals had different color for different displays, however, these gauges all have one color only. So you won't see red when in reverse, or yellow/orange when the overdrive is off.

Luc

Thanks for the info. Please send me the dig pics when you have them uploaded. I would really appreciated that since I am seriously contemplating the purchase. Just don't know where is the best place to get it. My email is in the profiles.

You bet, I will definitely get them uploaded this weekend and shoot them out to you. I don't know if there is any other manufacturer other than MMR that have gauges for Camrys. I called NR before, but since there was no demand for it, they had no plans to build them.

Anyone else interested in white gauges check out <www.blackcatcustom.com> They supposedly make complete replacements for the gauges, not mere overlays. If we order as a group, the cost per unit will be decreased significantly.
