alright.. we all know that WEAPON R intakes suck!. well guess what! i've had one for 3 months.. and well. they don't SUCK! but they're just not that great. it makes a nice sucking noise at idle.. and torquewise.. i really dont feel much of a difference. the only thing poor i see about the weapon R intake for my 94 LE I4 is that the filter seems kinda cheap. its the foamy type...and not the accordion-paper type. The tube itself is made of aluminum..which yes...gets mighty hot on summer days. not good for cold air. plus i had to drill a custom hole in it for my IAT sensor. So much for being 'compatible' for my car. I recommend building your own intake...use carbon fiber or some type of non-conducive material that doesn't heat up like metal. I plan on either extending my weapon R intake pipe out and under my bumper, or making a heat shield for it...cuz its sucking rather hot air.

BOTTOM LINE: WEAPON R SOMEWHAT SUCKS.

I tried that so my 2vz-fe. They said it will fit. IT didn't. They won't accept it back...then my car got broken into... and got stolen. I heard others from teh CamryMAN forum tried it, and weren't very pleased.

Foam versus Cotton guaze. Cotton guaze filters better, flow slightly less. Why else would HKS and Greddy chose foam...more flow.

tan
