Uh, somebody has put a 3S-GTE into a camry, that's probably pretty good, especially if you upgrade the turbo.

You could put a 2AZ-FE which is only a 2.4 liter i4 but its the same engine that they put in the scion tc so the mod's are endless :)

Hey mate,

There's a few engines you can place in the Camry.

The most obvious would be the 3VZ-FE or the 1MZ-FE 3L V6 engines... quite a nice upgrade from a 5SFE 4 cylinder :)

If not... go one better and get the 3SGTE. It's a 2L turboed engine from MR2s and GT4 Celicas... they came in ST165, 185 and 205 versions (there might have been another version in there too). If you're going to go this, you'll need to more than likely strengthen the transmission or get a stronger transmission. My suggestion: an E153 5 speed Manual Tranny from a Gen 4 :P

If you want further info, here's a couple of people I know that have actually DONE the conversion, lol. There's a Gen 2 and a Gen 4... both show cars :)

If you wanna go another way around it, buy a 1MZ and source a M40 (I believe the model is) TRD Supercharger. Will give you an extra 50kw at the flywheel... I LOVE the Supercharger whine.

Here's a Gen 4 with a 1MZ with the TRD Charger on it :)

If you need any further info, let me know!
