I had someone replace a short on a 1998 Camry [4<br>cylinder, because the rod burst through the engine. Once it was put back together the engine shuts of whenever I turn the AC on. The mechanic thinks that the rod may have made a dent on the compressor when it came out through the engine because the compressor was sitting very close to the spot where the rod came through. I cannot tell if that is the case without taking out the compressor. Does this make sense or is it<br>possible some thing else may be the cause.<br><br>thanks for your help.<br><br>harbels
