I cant imagine cutting the grill out hurting the car... My friend
bought a vertical grill piece for his Maxima 97. He just ut the new
piece ,like what you were talkin about, over the grill. I hope it
looks good if you do it cus it would probably suck having to put the
original back on afterwards.

check out http://mycamry.cjb.net he has a Gen 4 Camry and he put a
some meshing on it without cutting the grille, or least it looks like
it. oh and that site is Kendel's.
