i'm looking to put rims on my 95 4cyl. wondering
what size tires to put on 17in. rims. a guy at the rim
shop said only 205/40/17 would fit in my wheel wells
without rubbing going around corners. is this true? let
me know. i also need to have enough room to put snow
chains on in the winter

thanks

That guy doesn't know what he's talking about
because 205/40/17 is WAY TOO SMALL for your car. The
closest to stock size is 215/50/17. Rubbing or not also
depends on the correct offset for the wheel. If the right
offset is chosen (don't ask me what it is cuz I don't
know, but it is about 35-40mm positive offset) there
won't be any rubbing. As for chains, it shouldn't be a
problem unless you've had your car lowered.
