In trying to get replacement wheels or tires, it is important not to change the rolling circumference of the tire. Does any one still remember how to do their math? Anyway, the basic understanding of the number 205/65/15 is that the tire is 205mm (or 20.5cm) wide, the height of the tire is 65% of 205mm, and the rim is 15 inches in diameter. Why they mix inches and cms, I do not know. Anyway, if you add the tire's height times two to the wheel's diameter, you have the overall diameter of the wheel and tire. Then, you multiply that by 3.14 (pi), and you get the rolling circumference of the tire. You can change this rolling circumference within 3% of your original setup according to <www.tirerack.com>. Happy calculating!
